St Katharine Docks GP services

We share residents’ worries about recent newspaper reports suggesting that the future of Dr Sarit Patel’s St Katharine Docks GP practice has been put into question following funding changes.

We have made immediate representations to Dr Anne Rainsberry, the NHS’s Regional Director for London, to ask for the full facts.

Dr Patel has a stellar reputation here and residents do not want to lose his expertise, personal touch and continuity of care. We shall let residents know as soon as we hear anything from Dr Rainsberry and her team.

Dear Julia

Thank you for your email.  I understand that this is a complex issue and a factual paper is being drafted which will address  your queries as well as for use more widely .  This will be ready in the next week or so and I will send this on at that point.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

Nancy Luck

Dear Nancy,

I wonder if there has been any word on the issues I raised with you last week surrounding the St Katharine Docks GP surgery. There have been further articles on the matter in Tower Hamlets so residents are getting increasingly worried. It would be very helpful also to have the broader picture on primary care plans for Wapping as there is a fear that if the worst happened and there was a closure, it could put further strain on the already-busy Wapping Health Centre.

Many thanks,
